I put these on 66 Chevrolet and car has coil springs and shocks go in between springs. Most older cars have this setup. You would need some kind of springs because shocks will not hold all of the front weight

Only if they are coil over type shocks. These are not. These are for a stock 1954 Ford 2 door customline sedan.

Hi Kevin, I'm glad to assist you. No. It is incompatible. We do not carry the shocks for the rear with a dropped or lowered/dropped stance of 4 inches for the 1956 Ford F100.
