Works great about $30 cheaper than local competitors. Need to insert key and turn to 'don't to remove old one.

Hi Bobbi, thank you for reaching out. No, this does not. It is usually the ignition lock cylinder that comes with the key. The location of the ignition switch is usually behind the ignition lock cylinder. Hi Jose, I'm glad to help you out. This item is the part connected to the ignition lock cylinder for starting the vehicle. Click the link below if you need the ignition coil instead: https://www.carparts.com/search?q=ignition_coil&vehicle[year]=2007&vehicle[make]=Saturn&vehicle[model]=Ion&can=CPAP3648 I hope this helps. Happy shopping.

There is a resistor in this device that fails. Once a new switch is installed their is a "learning" process you can find on the web to allow the car to start. You will have to google search the process since links aren't allowed in the answer form.

Hi Donna,
We highly recommend that a certified mechanic diagnose the vehicle to pinpoint what part needs replacement.

I agree with the staff response. I had same issue and followed my tail for a while. I replaced entire ignition, starter, several relays and a couple cables still didnt fix it took to chevy and it was a fuse on the bcm. Id have a mechanic you trust help you out at that point so dont do what i did. Btw car is a 2005 chevy cobalt SS/SC. Wish you best of luck.

Answered by Brandon S. / Tue, Feb 23Question: Does this have a coded key and will old key work?John S. / Dec 30, 2020 / 2011 Chevrolet HHRIgnition Switch, Pin Type, 5-Prong Male Terminal
Hi John,
This does not include keys. It is the ignition lock cylinder that comes with keys. This item will work with the original ignition lock cylinder and keys.
AP
The key doesn't go in that part of the switch. Yes your old key will work fine.

Answered by Jeff D. / Thu, Dec 31Question: Are the keys included with this product programmable?Dede / Jan 03, 2025 / 2011 Chevrolet HHRIgnition Switch, Pin Type, 5-Prong Male Terminal
Hi, Deandria, Glad to assist you. It does not come with keys. The part you probably need is the ignition lock cylinder, which usually comes with two keys. We have the AC Delco, with part number AC20869121. This one does not come with keys since you can use the OEM keys you have (only requires). It requires rekeying the tumbler cylinder to match the original keys. We do not carry one with keys, however. If the AC Delco brand will do, grab our best price and click the link below to buy it today. Happy shopping!
