Still. manufacturers recommend that you drain the “shipping oil” and refill with “proper” oil ahead of installation. The other purpose of the added oil is to protect the compressor during its stay on the dealers’ or store shelves and in the course of transport. or the capacity amount of compressor oil, please check your vehicle's owner's manual (or a vehicle specific service repair manual) for that amount of ac compressor oil to be utilized.
