The camera came when promised. It took a reasonable time to install it. The difference between the old camera and the new one is significant. The old camera was fuzzy, and when the sun hit it, it was almost useless. The new camera is wonderful. The picture is clear, and I can reverse with confidence.

My backup camera was fuzzy from day one and I never went back to the dealer to have them look at it. This camera may have the same specs as the original, but if your original camera is fuzzy and nearly useless, this is 100x better.

I bought and installed this item when I took off my tailgate to install a camper. The image seems about equivalent to the original, complete with the optional directional projection (on or off option).

Hi Eric, I'm glad to help you out. This only mounts up to the tailgate like the factory original one from GM. Unfortunately, we don't carry cords that can be used for trailer cameras. We suggest checking your local parts stores on what they have available. I hope this helps. Happy shopping.

It's only about a 4' cord You could cut the one plug and add a wire extension to it But you have a hard time plugging it onplugging it up under the truck Unless you made another plug for

I did remount mine on the back of my camper. You would need an extension to reach the back of a trailer. From memory, I think the cord that came with the camera was six feet long.

You could, but you would have to make a custom mount. The cord is short, only 2-3ft or so. You're better off getting a universal one that mounts to the license plate bolts.
