Question: Can this part cause my 2007 chevrolet colorado to sometimes not start with the engine turning over ???Sherry C. / Dec 14, 2020 / Chevrolet TrailblazerVariable Timing Solenoid - For 2-Prong Blade Terminal And 1-Female Connector
Hi Sherry, This part is guaranteed to fit the 2007 Chevrolet Colorado WT, LS, and LT with 4 Cyl 2.9L and 5 Cyl 3.7L. The variable valve timing solenoid is a component of the variable valve timing system that manages the oil flow depending on the engine speed and load. We recommend having the vehicle diagnosed by a certified mechanic to determine what part needs replacement.

Question: Hello I got a code P0017 on my Chevrolet Colorado 2008 and I was wondering if it's the right replacement.?Pedro F. / Mar 26, 2025 / Chevrolet TrailblazerVariable Timing Solenoid - For 2-Prong Blade Terminal And 1-Female Connector
Hi Pedro, I am pleased to assist you. A P0017 code typically indicates a crankshaft-camshaft correlation issue on your 2008 Chevrolet Colorado, which can be caused by a faulty VVT solenoid, dirty or low engine oil, or timing chain misalignment. Replacing the VVT solenoid might resolve the problem if it's faulty. Before replacing the solenoid, check the oil condition and level, inspect electrical connections, and consider potential timing chain issues. If the problem persists after replacement, further diagnostics may be needed. You can use the link below to order while the part is in stock. I hope this helps, and enjoy shopping! https://www.carparts.com/variable-timing-solenoid/replacement/repc380803?can=CPGG4850_CSQA_20250325

Hi Joann, I'm glad to assist you. You probably meant P0107 or P1077. Still, for us to carefully check and be accurate on the part you need, please provide the complete information of your vehicle (year, make, model, submodel, and engine size). The VIN would be much helpful. I hope this helps for now.
