Question: Where does this part go on the transmission?Wormie / Jun 30, 2021 / 2007 Chevrolet TrailblazerAutomatic Transmission Solenoid, (Tcc), With 4T80E/4L60E/4T65E/5L40E/4T60E Transmission
Hi Tim, I'm glad to help you out. The automatic transmission solenoids are usually located within the valve body, the transmission control unit, or the transmission control module. In most cases, solenoids are located inside of the oil pan, connected to the valve body. Depending on what you drive. I hope this helps. Take off your transmission pan, then take off your filter and they're right up under it. There's pins that hold them in place so don't just try to pull them out until you pop the pin out. After you take the pin out put the new one in and connect it to the harness and whenever you push the new one back in you'll hear a kinda pop then hold it there and reinstall the pin. Sounds like alot but it's not, look it up on YouTube for a better understanding. Hope it helps.

Question: I have a 2003 Buick rendezvous that has a transmission that when it's cold first thing in the morning will shift all gears just fine. You turn it off turn it back on it goes first gear then second gear and that's it but the 3or4th time turning it off turning it back on most of the time it will start shifting properly again. Will this shift solenoid fix the problem or am I just having wishful thinking.? Also where is the shift solenoid located at on this vehicle.....?Kenny T. / Apr 02, 2021 / 2007 Chevrolet TrailblazerAutomatic Transmission Solenoid, (Tcc), With 4T80E/4L60E/4T65E/5L40E/4T60E Transmission
Hi Kenny, I'm glad to help you out. As per checking, one symptons of a failing or bad automatic transmission solenoid is - "hard to shift gears..or stuck to nuetral." Still, it is best to have that consulted with a certified mechanic for an accurate diagnostic and repair since there might be other parts that may need to be replaced as well. I hope this helps. Happy shopping.

As we bought this over a year ago, they asked us to give you our opinion. Actually we bought it because our Chevy Venture uses it also, and "Just in case" we ordered it; though so far did not have to replace it. It should fix your problem because that's wat I heard is the first signs, though you never know. We think is located in the front of the transmission, just check your car's book, the one sold in autopart stores.. One thing we added to our Venture is a transmission cooler (like small radiator), and it helps preventing the gear to get way too hot.

Answered by Alejandro R. / Sat, Apr 03In my opinion I'd YouTube how to change the solenoids so you know where they are. Once you change them if it fixes your problem then it'll be a simple fix plus save you mechanic fees. However if it doesn't fix it then you know it could be your transmission is finna go out but I'd try the cheap simple way first. Good luck I hope you figure it out and it's something simple.
