Compressor works great but in the installation guide in the box in very fine print easy to miss it says do not use an oil based flush when installing .. most over the counter flushes are oil based.

Hi Richard, I'm glad to help you out. Yes, the ac compressor is pre oiled from the factory. Still, manufacturers recommend that you drain the “shipping oil” and refill with “proper” oil ahead of installation – the other purpose of the added oil is to protect the compressor during its stay on the dealers’ shelves and in the course of transport. Please check a vehicle specific repair manual for the correct quantity you need or a call to the dealership or local auto repair shop would be very helpful.
