Hi! When you say sealant, are you talking about the exhaust flange gasket?

Answered by Mia B. / Thu, Apr 30If you purchased a separate sealant, (in a tube like toothpaste) generally it would be applied to the end of the catalytic converter where it goes into your old pipe to make sure there’s no leaks. No sealant should be necessary where the gasket is installed up at the manifold at the inlet at the catalytic converter.
