The liftgate supports were very easy to install and performed like OEM parts at a fraction of the cost. Perfect fit, easy install, easy fix for very dangerous problem. This was a power lift gate, and although it said was for non-powered lift gate, it was a perfect fit.

These were needed badly, cause the hatch wouldn't stay opened all the way. The lift support was just not working correctly.

Hello! You can use a small pick or screwdriver to pry the metal cover up, releasing pressure from the ball. Once the retainer is lifted, the liftgate support should pop right out.
