Hi Richard,
The common transmission speed sensor location is in the rear of a longitudinal mount transmission. For transaxles, the speed sensor is located on the long side of the output shaft. This would be the end of the transaxle that faces the front of the engine. You may refer to your vehicle's repair manual for reference as well.
