Hi Stephen, I'm glad to assist you. You will only need eight spark plug wires for your twin spark plug engine (but use 16 spark plugs) set up for your Dodge Ram with a 5.7L engine. From each ignition coil, there is a very short spark plug wire (often called a coil boot or lead) that connects to the second spark plug in that same cylinder.
