I put these in a 1981 corvette, they are an exact duplicate of the originals. They come with mounting brackets, rivets, etc. I reused the original brackets as the ones with these are slightly different. I also used a hole saw on the inner door panel to create access to the linkage hookup, otherwise reconnection to the linkage would be very difficult. Use the supplied cage nuts with a couple of bolts to reattach them to the door panels, much better than rivets. They work perfectly. Shipping was fast, transaction was easy.

Question: not sure if we need this part or part that is on the glass lift gate as our glass lift gate is not closing completely?jonie h. / Aug 14, 2022 / 2010 Ford EscapeLiftgate Door Lock Actuator
Hi Jonie, I'm glad to assist you. The part controls the locking mechanism of the tailgate. It does not control the liftgate glass opening and closing. We do not carry the tailgate glass motor for your selected vehicle application. It fits Mazda and Ford models from 2008 to 2011. For us to carefully check and be accurate on the part you need, please provide the complete information of your vehicle (year, make, model, submodel, and engine size). Your response is vital for us to help you.

I changed the hatch lock assembly because it's electricly actuated and was not opening far enough to completely unlatch so that I could open the hatch. The glass latch may work the same way and might be partially closing while the glass is open, stopping you from closing it, if I understand your question. Try a you tube search for your problem.

I was having trouble with my lift gate not closing and I replaced the door lock actuator and it's working great now. Takes a little time to replace it yourself, but if I can do it, I'm sure you can too. Hope this helped!

This actuator is for the lift gate only. It does nothing for the glass.

Question: Is this part for the liftgate that opens up the trunk part.  I know it says liftgate, but I want to make sure?Judy K. / Apr 14, 2023 / 2010 Ford EscapeLiftgate Door Lock Actuator
Hi Judy, thank you for reaching out. I am confused. What kind of vehicle do you have? It should not have a trunk and liftgate. It can only be one of the two.
