Almost a drop-in replacementRear, Driver Side Fully Loaded Strut, Quick-Strut Series

Description of the part was correct and the part is a fit for my 2005 Honda Civic. The bolt holes to connect to my control arms had to be bored out a little to fit the existing bolt through. The nut sizes are also different from my OEM (14mm to 15mm) but did not effect the fit in existing holes. Shipping costs were also higher than they should be for this part.

Question: Will this set work for 2012 Expedition EL Limited. I have rear only air suspension but want a set to change out all 4 to conventional struts and springs?2012 Expedition / Jul 18, 2024 / 2011 Ford ExpeditionFront And Rear, Driver And Passenger Side Fully Loaded Strut, Quick-Strut Series
Hi Tj, thanks for initiating contact. While the Monroe SET-TS171138-C is a conventional strut and spring assembly, your car currently has air suspension in the rear. Replacing the air suspension with conventional struts will require additional parts and modifications. You'll need a conversion kit specifically designed for your Expedition EL to replace the air suspension components with coil springs and struts. This kit typically includes new strut mounts, spring isolators, coil springs, and all necessary hardware. Converting the rear suspension from air to coil springs is a complex task. It's recommended to have a mechanic experienced with suspension systems perform the installation. I hope this helps. Have a nice day!

Question: Do these shocks require a rear conversion kit to go from air shocks to regular shocks?Jimmy / Mar 21, 2024 / 2011 Ford ExpeditionFront And Rear, Driver And Passenger Side Fully Loaded Strut, Quick-Strut Series
Hi James, I'm glad to assist you. No, it fits the vehicle application without the rear leveling type (not a rear suspension conversion kit). You need a conversion kit if your car originally has the rear leveling system. However, we have the rear air shocks for the rear if you would still consider sticking with the OEM comparable suspension (for the selected vehicle application).
