Question: HAVE YOU EVER HERD OF AN AFTERMARKET COIL CAUSING A SHORT TO A CARS PCM/ LINCOLN MZK 2007 ?ROBERT A. / Nov 14, 2020 / 2015 Ford F-150Motorcraft Oe Replacement Ignition Coil, Sold Individually
Hi Robert, The leading cause of premature failure of an ignition coil is due to a worn or bad spark plug ignition cable. A bad spark plug ignition cable will have a much higher than normal resistance. We highly recommend to have the vehicle diagnosed by a certified mechanic to pinpoint what part needs replacement.
