Easy installation. Put them on a 1987 Ranger 2wd. Lifted rear end up about an inch, which was what I was looking for. Quality ride, is not choppyy. Have carried fire wood and a 4 wheeler and bed stay level with a good ride.
Purchased on Feb 17, 2009
Installed new front shocks and these on the rear. The driver side was the easiest. The passenger side required a little extra. Had to compress the shock with an extra small jack and had some trouble aligning the holes on the bottom. I had some concerns about the shock spring clearing the stock muffler. After installation, I lowered the truck and the space actually increased so, no problem. These shocks definitely make the rear taller with no load. The suspension is much firmer and the ride and steering control is way better with new shocks. I am a "jack it up and crawl under it" kind of mechanic. It wasn't hard to figure out but more detailed instructions from the manufacturer could have been helpful.
