Can be made to work with Mazda B4000Rear, Driver And Passenger Side Door Lock Actuators, Extended Cab Pickup
5.0/5
I purchased this unit hoping I could make it work correctly on a Mazda B4000. The only difference is the sensor switch, which is opposite (normally open verses normally closed) what they used on the Rangers, for some inexplicable reason. If you can salvage the switch from your old unit and install it on this one, it will work on a B4000.

Question: How to remove old latch ?A Shopper / Sep 02, 2020 / 2005 Ford RangerRear, Passenger Side Door Lock Actuator, Lower, 4 Door, Super Cab
Hi, We recommend referring to a good repair manual for step by step instructions. You can find more information here: https://www.carparts.com/blog/why-you-should-always-consult-a-repair-manual/

To remove door lock actuator.....unbolt top of shoulder belt , pop off inside door panel , move it over to the side, on the underside of the door there is 3 screws that hold the actuator on ,remove them ,unplug the wire connection plug in the new part, place it in the proper location and put the 3 screws back in snap door panel back on and reattach seat shoulder belt. most auto stores sell small pry bars for removing the inside panel dont use a screw driver. you can always check u-tube

You have to remove the rear door panel along with the seat belts. When you remove the seat belts DO NOT let them retract as to they will lock up and you will have to get new ones. Inside the door there will be a cable going from the door handle to the latch and a few bolts holding it on. I recommend lubricating the latch with some graphite based lubricant before you instal it.
