I purchased this unit hoping I could make it work correctly on a Mazda B4000. The only difference is the sensor switch, which is opposite (normally open verses normally closed) what they used on the Rangers, for some inexplicable reason.
If you can salvage the switch from your old unit and install it on this one, it will work on a B4000.

Question: Is this all I need to replace door handle and manual actuator or are there cables too? It’s broken at the handle looks like a repair with stiff wire failed I want to go back all new. Answered by Aldrin P. / Wed, Aug 04No. This is the electronic latch inside the door and sticks through the side of the door.
What you need is the handle. That is a different part. You’ll drill the rivets out from under the handle and the new one should come with 2 bolts and nuts that will replace the rivets. The rod is easy to access and re attach after you get the broken one out.

Answered by Jeonino E. / Tue, Nov 09The electrical connection on this is for the sensor, not for the electric lock system. This unit is for the back door - only the front door has the actual lock and electric actuator.
So yes, this will work with or without electric locks because that does not come into play for the back doors.
