Hi Dexter,
This fog light is a direct fit part installed on the lower portion left and right of the front bumper cover. At the back of this part, it has 4 main mounting support/bracket to fit into the bumper hole slot. This design is for the model without off road package as well.

Answered by Jeonino E. / Mon, Sep 07Same answer as Jenino above. This was a replacement for the OEM light that had burned out on my 2011 Avalanche. It is actually brighter than the original.

Answered by Aldrin P. / Tue, Feb 23No, It's a one piece assembly, bulb and lens. It the unit plugs in to the wiring harness, and the plastic assembly snaps into the fog light opening (at least on my 2011 Avalanche). The fog light works well, and is brighter than the factory original. I recommend.
