Camw in fast there was a little delay but was in the next day getting it painted now so haven't installed it yet we will see how it fits quality looks good

Answered by Andrew B. / Fri, Mar 04Yes, It'll bolt up to the frame of a Chev 1500 flareside. However, it is built for a fleetside, and bumper ends will stick out as far as your flareside (stepside) fenders do. Do you prefer a narrower rear bumper?

Hi Gail,
This part fit the 1988-1998 Chevrolet C1500 (2WD/RWD) and K1500 (4WD) All Submodels for Flareside/Stepside, For Models With Impact Strip. If your Chevy truck is a 2500 or 3500, this part will not fit. The Impact strip is a strip of steel across the rear bumper. The bumper would have the holes for it, that studs on the impact strip slide into.
On your last question, are you asking if your truck is a stepside? The Chevrolet Fleetside pickup truck has a slab-sided cargo box in which the width of the box extends over the rear wheels, allowing the box more cargo space. In contrast, a step-side pickup features a more narrow cargo box in which the rear wheels are outside the box and covered by the fenders.

Yes, the Impact strip is the black strip at the top edge of the bumper exterior. You'll want to have this bumper with that. If your Chev Cor CK model/vehicle has the lower body black trim molding at the cab and box, this strip is the same in design and features. Get that one.
