The main parts that comprise an a/c compressor of most vehicles are the compressor housing, compressor clutch, pulley, compressor shaft, piston and cylinder, reed valves, oil fill port, and electrical connectors. Hi Josiah, I'm glad to assist you. Yes, this a/c compressor is pre-oiled from the factory. Still, manufacturers recommend that you drain the "shipping oil” and refill with “proper” oil (PAG oil) ahead of installation. The other purpose of the added oil is to protect the compressor during its stay on the dealers’ shelves, retailers' stores, and in the course of transport.
