Perfect fit for my 1999 Lincoln Town Car Cartier 8 Cyl 4.6LA/C Condenser, 4.6L, 8Cyl, Gpd Oe Replacement
5.0/5
If air conditioner still blows cold, have refrigerant evacuated professionally so it can be saved and refilled later for credit. Replacing the condenser takes about 1 hour and requires pliers, 8mm, 11mm, and 13mm sockets or wrenches, and a Philips head screwdriver. 1. Remove radiator overflow jug completely to make room to eventually tilt top of radiator towards engine enough to access both the transmission/power steering cooler as well as the ac condenser. 2. On the passenger side of the vehicle remove the two 13mm nuts that hold the existing ac high pressure aluminum lines to the ac condenser. 3. On passenger side of the vehicle use pliers to disconnect the 2 rubber transmission hoses that are connected to the transmission/power steering cooler. Pinch or cover the 2 hoses closed so transmission fluid can't escape the disconnected hoses. 4. Use 8mm socket or wrench to remove the 8mm bolt on each side of the radiator that secures the radiator to both the transmission/power steering cooler and the ac condenser. 5. Use 11mm socket to remove 3 nuts holding air filter box in place and also unplug its electrical connector so box is moved out of the way to make room for the transmission/power steering cooler to be maneuvered there later. 6. Use 8mm socket or wrench to remove the 2 bolted down brackets that are on top of the radiator. 7. Tilt the top of the radiator back so there is room to tilt and lift the passenger side of the transmission/power steering cooler up and towards the right side of the radiator. There will be room enough to set it where the air intake box was originally located. Its hoses on the driver side to the power steering don't need to be disconnected or removed. 8. Once the transmission/power steering cooler is out of the way, there is room to also tilt and remove the old ac condenser. 9. Reverse the process to install the new ac condenser.

Question: Hi, I own a 2000 Chevy Tahoe with the Z71 Package (still the older 90's body) which has rear Air. Will this condenser fit? I have seen condensers on other sites that do not work with the rear A/C set up. Thank you.Alan L. / Apr 20, 2021 / 1999 GMC YukonA/C Condenser, Gpd Oe Replacement

Question: parallel or serpentine flow?A Shopper / Mar 13, 2021 / 1999 GMC YukonA/C Condenser, Gpd Oe Replacement
Hi, As per checking, there are two kinds of AC condenser for your vehicle, the 1st one is with Charged Port and DPI# 4544. The second option is with DPI #4720 and no mention about a charged port. The description does not mention any parallel flow or serpentine flow type. Please click the link below to see the 2 options of AC condenser. https://www.carparts.com/search?q=a-fs-c_condenser&vehicle[cylinders]=8&vehicle[liter]=5%2E0&vehicle[submodel]=Base&vehicle[model]=C1500&vehicle[make]=Chevrolet&vehicle[year]=1996
