KYB's for 2001Tahoe (fronts)Front, Driver Or Passenger Side Shock, Gr-2/Excel-G Series

Although through a lot of research the 2001 Tahoe uses a special Nivomat shock which is truly the best shock technology available. But that comes with a $350 each price tag. So even if your rears look like they are leaking a little, leave them alone (the ride probably hasn't changed over the years you've been driving on them), and a replacement at much lower cost will disappoint you. I did the fronts with HD KYB's and although they are solid the older front shocks were still smoother. Something about those Nivomat shocks that make them unbelievably awesome.
