It's as good if not better than OEM. I replaced the one on my 99 acura CL 2.3 that had 144k miles on it. Solenoid went bad and no code was thrown. LSS I went through and found mine to be bad. Swapped it out with this part and it's all working great after 30k miles on it. Gaskets nice and soft, screen quality seemed to be same as OEM hondata part.

Question: My Honda accord 2002 will shut off some times while I'm driving on the road and I'll have to wait about 10 minutes before I can start it again. The engine light went on, I checked it at Auto zone and the reading said it was the v- tec p-1259. I put a new one but it still shuts off n is saying the same thing,  to change the v- tec p-1259.   Does this soliniode timing stop my engine?Jerry / Oct 27, 2020 / Honda AccordVariable Timing Solenoid, 4 Cyl., 2.3L Engine
Hi Jerry, I have checked the Pcode 1259 and it is not for the variable timing solenoid. The most common cause for Error Code P1259 or VTEC system malfunction is low oil pressure. Thus, make sure you check your oil if it's due for service. If it's in bad condition, then replace the oil pressure switch.
