Molded plastic. Seems sturdy enough for it's intended purpose. What should have been a 10 minute job turned into 45 minutes, due to holes/molded divots not aligning. Much pulling, stretching and new hole drilling to complete the job, but it's done, and I'm pleased with it.

The cover fit perfectly. The original shield was made of a heavy cloth material, this cover is a thick plastic, very nice. Very pleased with the price, dealer wanted $499 just for the part
