My latch failed mechanically. Could not use liftgate latch. This was the fix. Direct swap out with little effort. Hardest task is removing the liftgate panel to make the swap.

This is only the latch with the cable. The actuator is not included.

Answered by Aldrin P. / Sat, Dec 12I lost ability to open rear hatch on my 2007 Grand Cherokee. I pulled the lift gate panel and the latch had failed mechanically. Purchased this part and swapped out. Latch works.

This is designed for without the power liftgate as of our supplier/manufacturer's data sheet. This will not work. Unfortunately, we do not have the one designed for the automatic/power liftgate.
