I bought a pair of the Armstrong Lift Supports for my Lexus LS400, it took me about 2 hours to install them- that includes the time I accidentally dropped a washer in the engine area and had some challenges to find/get it out. But the overall experience was good. The lifters are very strong, to the point that when I opened the hood and lifted it for the first time I thought It was going to break the hinges. It's been a month since I installed them and have opened the hood only twice. The only concern I have is the ball sockets are made of plastic rather than metal, like the OEM ones, so I hope they will last for quite some time. Time will tell!
