Standard suspension systems will have traditional coil-over struts with visible springs, while air suspension systems use rubber air bladders and will have air lines running to each strut. Look for these small air lines or hoses near the strut area, and listen for a compressor motor when starting the vehicle—a common sign of air suspension.
