Mirror fits as factory one does but the mirror glass has a wavy spot when you look into it that makes you second guess your self when driving i wished i could try another one to see if its just a defect other than that all is ok

Yes but I had to bend the spring clips (the two triangular pieces in the picture) that fit into the cup to get it to work properly. They were pressing to hard on the cup and would not allow the mirror to move. Once I made the adjustment it worked fine. If you have them save the ones from your old mirror. Be advised this is a cheap mirror and I had to put some glue on the backing plate to get the mirror attached better. I would also advise removing the outer cover to install the mirror. YouTube videos will tell you how to do it and makes installation easier. It works fine and beat having to spend $250 for a genuine MB mirror.

Question: My 04 SL500 AMG mirror has Gentex, MB L, A3138449 stamped on back plate. Will this work? Have gotten 2 mirrors on e-bay, neither was correct fit.
