Shocks and struts help keep the vehicle stable during acceleration and braking, therefore, gives a smoother ride. It can also make a vehicle corner and brake like when it was new. Some articles claim they can produce up to a 10% improvement in overall vehicle fuel efficiency by having new shocks and struts.
