Poor fit, weak flanges, leaked after 2000 miles. Had to rebuildDriver And Passenger Side Catalytic Converters, Federal Epa Standard, 46-State Legal (Cannot Ship To Ca, Co, Ny Or Me)
1.0/5
AFTER 2000 MILES, all seams leak. The gaskets were poor. The flange metal is weak, and bends. I have corrected the problem using metal gaskets, Exhaust RTV sealant and walker muffler flange repair kit. I would not buy again.

Excellent ReplacementDriver And Passenger Side Catalytic Converters, Federal Epa Standard, 46-State Legal (Cannot Ship To Ca, Co, Ny Or Me)
5.0/5
This part is an excellent replacement for original exhaust system. It comes in 3 sections so it's easier to install by yourself. The flange connecting the pipe to the exhaust manifold is thinner than original so it was necessary to shorten the bolts. It wasn't all stainless steel though like original, but looks like it will endure.

Question: I just installed this part over the weekend.  I'm hearing a rattle when I come to a stop, and all connection are tight.  I did notice that the exhaust manifold bolts might be reaching the actual exhaust manifold on the interior side.  Is it possible the fitting on the replacement part is thinner than that of the original causing a gap, thus vibration when the ML320 downshifts at stops?  Please help me solve this issue.  Thank you.kelly F. / May 04, 2021 / Mercedes Benz ML320Driver Side Catalytic Converter, 3.2L, 6Cyl, Federal Epa Standard, 46-State Legal (Cannot Ship To Ca, Co, Ny Or Me), Direct Replacement Series, Direct Fit
Hi Jim, Thank you for sending us your review regarding the catalytic converter. Be assured, I will be assisting you about this concern. IS it possible to alter or shorten the bolts? The grade or thickness of the catalytic converter should be of the same size as the original. Let me know if this will work. Thanks, Jonathan G. Customer Advocate Team

When tightening the exhaust flange (pipe to manifold flange) you have to make sure to alternate bolts until the connection is secure, if you tighten one bolt completely then move to the next the connection wont be seated properly which is likely why your bolt touches on one side, not the other. Back them off, not all the way out, and shake the exhaust to resettle the connection, then re-tighten, alternating sides. 14 year MB master tech here, believe me, I know...

Question: Hi. How do i know which side my 1999 ml320 cats are located. Is it possible to have 2 on each side?  ThaNello / Jul 26, 2021 / Mercedes Benz ML320Driver Side Catalytic Converter, 3.2L, 6Cyl, Federal Epa Standard, 46-State Legal (Cannot Ship To Ca, Co, Ny Or Me), Direct Replacement Series, Direct Fit
Hi Nello, I'm glad to help you out. You can look at vehicle diagrams to know the location of the catalytic converters. Another option is to look underneath the vehicle. The 1999 Mercedes Benz ML320 has catalytic converters on both sides. Yes, it is possible to have two catalytic converters on each side. Take advantage of the sale price and limited stocks for this item. Click this link to order this part: https://www.carparts.com/catalytic-converter/evan-fischer/repm960314?can=CPAP3648 I hope this helps. Happy shopping.
