Answered by Arnel E. / Thu, Aug 12It actually varies, depending on the detail design of the car in question. But here is a much much better answer than trotting out the advertized 1.75 degrees. It is possible to fit this caster adjusting cam bolt to upper AND lower fixing of the kingpin to the macpherson strut to correct a case where after a road collision, replacing all parts is not enough to correct the caster, which may have offset the unit body a little. This has no adverse effect of safety.
