The handle is plastic cant even tell .so far havent had any problems with it and it's the driver door handle .well worth the price.

Hi George,
You can reuse the old key and lock cylinder or purchase a new door lock cylinder with a new set of keys. It is just that you will have a different key for the door and the ignition.

Answered by Grace G. / Wed, Oct 28The answer above is basically correct but the question without additional information is a little confusing. The handle has nothing to do with the lock cylinder. I'm guessing that maybe the lock cylinder was lost. I don't know the year of the vehicle. In times past you could change tumblers in the cylinder to what ever code you want. at the same time you could look at the old tumblers and have a new key cut to match. Dealers used to be able to do this I don't know if a lock smith has the equipment. I would find out what a dealer can do and use that information to decide my next step.
