Hi Timothy, The submodel of the vehicle is an important fitment detail on this part. This part is guaranteed to fit the 2006 Chevrolet Malibu LT, LTZ, LS, Maxx LS, Maxx LT, Maxx LTZ (NOTE: This part does NOT fit the SS and Maxx SS Submodels). Please check the vehicle submodel. You can do a manual reset on this part. Turn ignition switch OFF, and turn ignition switch ON. The EPS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds. Within 4 seconds of turning the switch ON, while the EPS indicator is on, turn the steering wheel 45° to left from the straight-ahead driving position, and hold the steering wheel in position until the EPS indicator goes off.
