I like that the support came with the upper bracket as the original being bent was the reason for the purchase. It snapped in place with little effort and it's now back to normal.

Terrible. I had 2 sets. Both lost compression and within 2 weeks neither one would hold up my lift gate. Spends a little more and buy one from your car dealer.

Answered by Andrew B. / Fri, Aug 06Try you tube. Important you hold rear gate door while working use a ladder or tie door from ceiling beams. I did both on my 4 runner
I’m a 77 year old woman but I’m really safety first. The lifts were marked left and right but hard to see. You need to find the marks .
These lifts are very strong . I have a hatch door that weighs almost 300 lbs. but got it done

Answered by Delia O. / Sat, Aug 07Hello, that there is not but it is very very straight forward. You will want a board or something to help hold up the lift gate before removing the existing supports.
