Hi Elizabeth,
The fuel sending unit has a strainer but, it is not the fuel filter. The fuel filter is a different part and is sold separately.

Answered by Grace G. / Tue, Mar 23Hello. The unit I received did come complete with the fuel pump sock as it is called. Most tank fuel pumps do not come with the fuel filter.
