I installed the KYB shocks on my 4-cyl 2000 Toyota Tacoma. I noticed a definite improvement in the smoothness of the ride. I was never happy with the harsh ride from my previous shocks, which were installed by a local muffler shop at about three times the price I paid for these. The previous shocks on the front were Gabriel, but I couldn't tell what brand was on the rear. One of the rear shocks was leaking oil.
