A probable failure that causes this code is the catalytic converter, but oftentimes the catalytic converter can fail due to the engine running poorly due to other issues. But, most of the time the catalytic converter is faulty. The other code, P1436, shows a faulty A/C Evaporator Temperature (ACET) sensor. However, we do not carry this part. Answered by Jeonino E. / Fri, Aug 20Yes I put it on a 2001 Prius it fit perfectly but the exhaust donut that comes with it does not seal very well had to go to Toyota dealership to get that part which was $85 otherwise you smell exhaust when you were stopped at intersections or driving at low speeds

My 2001 Toyota Prius Failed Emission test with Code P1437. I took it for diagnosis & was advised the code is generated bcos there is suppose to be a vacuum hose connected to the catalizer but is absent, reasons why the code is generated indicating a vacuum leak. The technician advised that a new Cat will solve that prob as the vacuum hose will be connected.

Unfortunately, we do not ship directly to Mexicalli, in Mexico. You can have it shipped within the US near the border if you have relatives or friends living there. Once they receive the part, it will be up to them to look up a different courier to ship directly to Mexico.
