I didn't realize this item requires removal of windshield. However I did bring it to a body shop that was doing work on the windshield. But they didn't install this item, saying it was "unnecessary." I've noticed now since bringing the car home though, that there are two one-inch spaces in the edge of the new windshield that are not secured by any form of lining or bracket. Perhaps someone in your firm has a comment.
