This part is guaranteed to fit the Guaranteed to Fit 2005 Toyota Tacoma Base, Pre Runner, and XRunner 6 Cyl 4.0L. Yes, this already comes with the strainer (internal filter).

Answered by Grace G. / Sat, Feb 20There is no inline filter for these Tacoma’s. The filter and pump is one piece. I replaced mine at 286,000 miles. Much better idle, response and performance since I replaced it. Only 4K miles on it so far but no problems with it
