Hello! No fuel pressure regulator is required for carbureted applications.

no i put one on my 1978 honda civic 1500 cvcc and runs no pressure regulator. also have one on my 75 dodge truck with a 440 ci big block they are excellent replacements for mechanical or electric fuel pumps.

Question: My car is 1971 VW beetle, 1600 dual port engine. What size are the hose barbs. Prefer 5mm or a maximum 1/4” hose barb or existing fuel hoses will not fit.
