Hi Ed, I'm glad to help you out. Generally, there is no need to disconnect the battery when replacing the headlights. Just make sure the lights and ignition are switched off when you do it. Answered by FRITZ S. / Sat, Jul 03No need to disconnect. Turn car off, be sure head lights are off and you should have no issue. Removing and replacing the headlight assembly for the Volvo is quick, easy and tool less.
