Hi Terry, thank you for reaching out. No, it does not. Although the bottom measurement of both items is the same, the height of this item is different from part number 42101. The height of part number 42101 is 2.49 inches. The height part number 42098 is 3.49 inches. As per the manufacturer, part number 42101 is for the 1970 - 1974 Chevrolet Corvette. The recommended air filter for the 1980 Chevrolet Corvette is part number 42098.
