Cleared my battery light, 2006 Ford ExpeditionAlternator, 5.4L, 8Cyl, Remanufactured

I bought a refurbished alternator from a local shop here in OKC and the battery light would come on and it was throwing a code. Someone in a FB group I'm in said to buy motorcraft and that would clear the problem. Apparently there is a chip in the motorcraft that talks to the ECM in the truck. Once I installed this, the battery light went off and everything is glorious again!!
