The plastic cap on the end that helps cover the voltage regulator and other components was cracked, and it wasn't from the lack of bubble wrap in the packaging. Also it didn't fit the bracket that it mounts on as there was way too much space for movement, a good quarter inch at least. Not things you expect when installing something with "exceptional attention to detail" as they put it in the description.
