Hello Ray-
This part should stay inside the transmission dipstick provision all the time to avoid transmission fluid leak.

No it it way to long .... And not designed for that

Answered by Larry T. / Thu, Oct 01If you are purchasing it for a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.7L V6 model it will extend past the opening of the tube and will not stay in place unless you force shove the extra cable into the tube to use as a cap

The dipstick has charts with it. Ref first chart to find your rig, read to the right find your corresponding chrt(A,B,C). On your chart you'll see a set of lines running diagonally, find your transmission temperature follow over to the range lines where it meets the range follow the nearest line 90 degrees that will lead to the mm level you should have.

Answered by Ron B. / Wed, Mar 10Furthermore , you can only read the temperature of the fluid with a Scanner....? This schtic is set in MM's... Is there a factory dip schtik for this application..

Hi Trina, I'm glad to assist you. The transmission dipstick has a level indicator on the surface of the dipstick just like the engine oil dipstick. You can check your vehicle's owner's manual for the procedure to check the oil level on your transmission (how to read the oil fluid level).
