Question: I have the 2003 Mazda 6 with a 3.0 and 5 speed automatic trans. I can not seem to find where this is on the trans. Everyone has said it's on the top, some say side and some say back. I have searched everywhere. Everywhere online and in videos doesn't match what I have. For another point of reference, mine also uses the Neutral Safty switch FP1019444. Does this part go to my trans?Peter B. / Mar 29, 2021
Hi Peter, I'm glad to help you out. For an accurate diagnostic and repair, we recommend referring to a trusted vehicle specific service repair manual for details about location of this part and how to replace it. Still, it is best to consult your trusted local auto repair shop or dealership for this for an extensive and careful troubleshooting. You can find more information here as well: https://www.carparts.com/blog/why-you-should-always-consult-a-repair-manual/ I hope this helps. Happy shopping.
