Failure of the bushing is a common cause for clunking noises when driving.This item was a perfect replacement for the original bushing on my 2002 VW Beetle (Mk4): it fit exactly and was cost-effective. The removal of the original part can be challenging, and the installation requires a special tool due to the tight fit.
