Good replacement camera for Ford Explorer. Install was quick and easy. Only gave 4 stars because I can't assess how long it will last--I've been through 3 replacements so I'm hoping this will last longer than others.

Answered by Aldrin P. / Wed, Sep 16My backup camera was fuzzy from day one and I never went back to the dealer to have them look at it. This camera may have the same specs as the original, but if your original camera is fuzzy and nearly useless, this is 100x better.

Hi Eric, I'm glad to help you out. This only mounts up to the tailgate like the factory original one from GM. Unfortunately, we don't carry cords that can be used for trailer cameras. We suggest checking your local parts stores on what they have available. I hope this helps. Happy shopping.

Answered by Randy M. / Wed, Apr 28I did remount mine on the back of my camper. You would need an extension to reach the back of a trailer. From memory, I think the cord that came with the camera was six feet long.

Answered by David W. / Wed, Apr 28You could, but you would have to make a custom mount. The cord is short, only 2-3ft or so. You're better off getting a universal one that mounts to the license plate bolts.
