The brake light switch being replaced doesn't necessarily mean that it was installed correctly or that it's functioning properly. There could be other issues causing the brake light to stay on, such as a damaged or corroded wiring harness, a bad relay, or a fault in the brake light circuit. To determine the root cause, a professional diagnosis is recommended.
