Question: My backup lights will not come on when in reverse, fuses and relays checked ok. Could this be the problem?Gary J. / May 08, 2022

If the reverse light bulbs are still in good condition, then you may want to check the reverse light switch of your vehicle. We also suggest that a certified mechanic diagnose the vehicle to pinpoint the part that needs replacement.

Hi Bruce, I'm glad to assist you. No, not necessarily. What you probably need is a parking brake light switch or sensor. The regular brake light switch activates once you press the brake pedal to brake, so the tail light turns on the red brake lights. Upon checking, as for the selected vehicle application, we do not carry a direct-fit parking brake light switch or sensor.
